Here’s How We Do It
You may often hear other service providers say they provide a 360-degree approach. But, what does that really mean? At GUFP, this approach has been embedded in our DNA since the beginning. We pay close attention to every conceivable risk-factor, unforeseen weakness, and potential liability that could exist for our customers. Our fire protection solutions keep our customers covered on every level.
Preconstruction
GUFP’s pre-construction team has the experience to provide clients with the most current fire protection design criteria to meet current NFPA and FM standards. Our pre-construction services include:
- Coordination with MEP’s
- Hydraulic Analysis
- System Design
- Preliminary Budget Planning
Design
GUFP’s design team has over 158 years of cumulative experience and knowledge of fire code, NFPA, and FM Standards to meet the specific design needs of projects and often aggressive, completion time-lines. Our design team uses current software including AutoCAD, HydraTec, HASS, Naviswork (3D BIM) and AutoDesk Revit.
Fabrication
GUFP maintains automated equipment including welding, cutting, and threading machinery--all housed on site in our 21,000 square-foot facility to ensure quality control maintenance. Our fabrication team has the experience and capability to produce specialty items for any type of fire protection system, while maintaining delivery timelines.
Installation
GUFP’S team of California-certified sprinkler fitters, trained technicians and underground sprinkler fitters, are highly skilled at installing a variety of new construction services. This includes commercial, industrial, office, medical, tenant improvements, system upgrades, retrofit, and specialty fire sprinkler systems to meet various applications.
Maintenance and Repair
GUFP provides a 24/7 emergency response team for unforeseen fire incidents, as well as service agreements for inspections and maintenance for all fire sprinkler systems. This allows our customers to have peace of mind knowing their systems are consistently operating at optimal levels.
Our skilled technicians test all our sprinkler systems and fire pumps on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. We also perform Title 19, five year inspections to ensure code compliance and that client and insurance requirements are met. Additionally, our clients have access to professional inspection reports 24 hours per day.
